Benjamin Greennagel
About
Benjamin Greennagel is the Associate, Multimedia Communications for Family Equality, having previously served as a Social Media Intern beginning in 2023.
In Benjamin’s current role, he highlights the experiences of LGBTQ+ families and enhances Family Equality’s public storytelling with a strong emphasis on donor engagement and solicitation. His work primarily focuses on donor-facing multimedia campaigns, video production, and cross-platform storytelling that demonstrates impact and drives connection. He also produces Family Equality’s “Out With It,” a long-form educational series demystifying public policy and examining its impact on LGBTQ+ families.
Benjamin recently completed a master’s in creative writing at the University of Oxford. Previously, he served as a Virtual Student Federal Service intern in the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion, helping launch the Facing Diplomacy initiative — a campaign to archive stories of courage from American diplomats through StoryCorps interviews. Outside of work, he can be found drinking too much coffee and wandering around the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
