Family law and policy

Everyone should be able to create and expand a family in whatever way is best for them. But, across the country, families face obstacles to accessing the freedoms and protections necessary to not only form but secure and support their families.

That’s why Family Equality works with local and national partners to update and improve parentage laws, protect marriage equality, champion access to reproductive freedom — including access to fertility care and assisted reproduction— and advocate for improvement to paid leave policies.
