Queering ASL

Interested in learning American Sign Language but don’t know where to start? Know ASL but don’t know any words that connect with your identity? Join Sam Pacifici as he teaches some LGBTQ related signs!

Sam Pacifici identifies as a queer man and Hard of Hearing. He is a Deaf Studies major with a focus in interpreting at California State University Northridge. When not in class, Sam helped to found the Pride Center at Glendale Community College and worked there as a Peer Educator. In this session, he unites his passions to teach you words about the LGBTQ community in ASL!
