Call for Nominations: Honoring a Community Changemaker for LGBTQ+ Families

Across the country, individuals are showing up every day for LGBTQ+ families — advocating in their communities, serving those in need, creating affirming spaces, supporting parents and caregivers, and working tirelessly to ensure every family has what they need.

We’re proud to open nominations for the Hostetter-Habib Family Award, an annual honor recognizing an individual whose compassion, leadership, and sustained commitment have made a meaningful difference for LGBTQ+ families.

If you know someone whoe work deserves national recognition, we invite you to nominate them. If selected, they will be honored at our New York City gala, Night at the Pier, in May (travel and accommodations provided).

About the Hostetter-Habib Family Award

Named in honor of longtime Family Equality champions Mark Hostetter and Alex Habib and their family, this award celebrates an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to advancing equality and well-being for LGBTQ+ families.

Recipients often work behind the scenes as advocates, educators, organizers, caregivers, and community leaders but their impact is profound.
