FAMILY EQUALITY COUNCIL WEIGHS IN ON THIS GREAT OCCASION!
Family Equality Council, which connects, supports and represents the three million parents in our country who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) and their six million children today issued a statement praising the Delaware Senate for voting to approve a marriage equality bill.
“LGBT parents in Delaware will put their kids to bed tonight knowing that their families will soon be able to enjoy the benefits and protections that marriage provides,” said Family Equality Council Director of Public Policy Emily Hecht-McGowan. “Love makes a family, but marriage strengthens it. We look forward to the day when all our families can celebrate winning the freedom to marry.”
