Family Equality Council 2018 LA Impact Awards Addresses Visibility, Vulnerability, in Fight for LGBTQ Families’ Rights

Hundreds gather to honor Johnson & Johnson & Johnson Care with Pride initiative, and Nate Berkus & Jeremiah Brent at The Globe Theatre March 17.

LOS ANGELES — Over 450 guests gathered on March 17, 2018 at the Globe Theatre, Universal Studios, to show their support for Family Equality Council at the 2018 LA Impact Awards. Attendees enjoyed a night of entertainment, moving stories, and celebration of those who make a difference in the fight for legal and lived equality.

This year, the honorees included interior designer couple Nate Berkus & Jeremiah Brent, and the Johnson & Johnson Care with Pride™ Initiative.

At the event, Armie Hammer presented the Murray-Reese Family Award to Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent for sharing their family-building journey on national television on their show, Nate and Jeremiah By Design. Additionally, Olivia Holt presented to Reed Harris II on behalf of Johnson & Johnson for being a strong voice in efforts to make the world a more caring and accepting place for LGBTQ families.
