For this workshop, Mariam Adams will give you the tools and knowledge to manage your financial lives during this pandemic and beyond. She will provide data about the LGBTQ+ community (where we are today and investing habits unique to us), discuss behavioral aspects of investing, and provide an update on how to navigate through this volatile market. The goal is to empower you with knowledge and actionable steps to improve your situation now, while still building a foundation for long-term wealth.
Mariam is a financial advisor who leads the largest dedicated LGBTQ+ wealth management practice at Merrill Lynch, with over 80% of her clients identifying as LGBTQ+. She manages investment portfolios and financial affairs for her clients, and has an expertise working with those seeking a non-traditional path to parenthood. Mariam is an advocate for more family-planning benefits at the workplace and has successfully lobbied Bank of America to extend family planning benefits to her colleagues. She has been featured in Barron’s Magazine and in U.S. World News & Report. Mariam lives in Brooklyn, NY with her wife and their two daughters.
