When it comes to talking to your children about sex, our motto is: Talk early, talk often! That’s right—we believe parents are the most influential sex educators for their children. From toddlerhood to the teenage years, there are millions of opportunities for you to start conversations in a way that will lead to healthy attitudes and outcomes. Join Family Tree Clinic’s Sex Educator, Lindsey Hoskins, to learn more about how to communicate with your children about sexuality in a way that is healthy and developmentally appropriate. If the thought of “the talk” makes your palms sweat a little, this workshop is for you!
This workshop will be geared towards parents/caregivers of children 0-8 years old.
Lindsey Hoskins is a deeply committed sex nerd with a degree in Sex Education. She dove into this work in 1999 and fell in love with helping folks get comfy and start talking about topics that can often be challenging. Lindsey joined Family Tree in 2002 and is now the Director of Health Education. Lindsey is most proud of the peer sex-ed program she started for queer and trans teens and her work with parents of young children. Lindsey is happiest when teaching puberty, and don’t even get her started on lube. In 2017, her book, Principles of Pleasure: Working with the Good Stuff as Sex Therapists and Educators, was released. Her mother is very proud.
