Sharing Our Stories on YouTube.

Time and time again, we talk about the importance of sharing our
families’ stories. When each of us share our story, we change
hearts and minds. We debunk the myths and show that our families
are just like any other family – except that we are denied the same
basic rights and privileges.

This morning, we received an email from Cari Searcy. She has
created a YouTube video to share her story. Nearly 2,000 people
from around the world have listened to her family’s story and her
family’s challenges.

It’s a touching story. And kudos to Cari for harnessing the power
of new media to affect positive change for LGBT families.
