HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It’s exactly 12:01 on January 1, 2008 – and as such, I’ve secured
the delightful honor of being the first blogger of the new year.
Just when I finally grew accustomed to writing 2007 on my checks
and letters, a new year is upon us.
And with the new year comes new resolutions. My mother’s perennial
new year’s resolution immediately comes to mind: “I don’t have a
resolution because I’m already perfect. There’s nothing to
fix.”
Unfortunately for me, my mother’s perfection wasn’t hereditary.
Perhaps it just skipped a generation. At any rate, I’ve made a few
resolutions of my own.
- To finally paint my bathroom.
- To contribute more to my favorite charities.
- To spend more time reading my favorite books.
- To follow the presidential election as close as possible
without going crazy.
2008 – ready or not, here it comes. Hold on tight and enjoy the
ride!
