Boston MA – (July 10, 2013) – Family Equality Council, the national organization that connects, supports, and represents the three million parents who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) and their six million children, today announced a partnership with 2013 Outfest Los Angeles this year to present Two: The Story of Roman & Nyro – a film by Heather Winters.
Set deep in the heart of Nashville’s music scene, this moving film tells the heart-warming tale of two men and their experience raising a pair of adorable twin boys, Roman and Nyro. Legendary Grammy Award-winning songwriter Desmond Child (whose collaborations with musicians Cher, Alice Cooper, KISS, Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith and many more have propelled the sale of 300 million records worldwide) and partner Curtis Shaw find in Angela Whittaker a soulmate who agrees to become their surrogate. What unfolds is a life-affirming journey captured in old videotapes and confessionals that mixes new age spirituality with old-fashioned Southern soul. Appearances in the film include Deepak Chopra and godfather to the boys, Jon Bon Jovi.
The screening for July 17 at the DGA is at “rush line” ticket status and a new screening has just been added for Saturday, July 20 at 11:30 AM at SUNDANCE SUNSET CINEMAS – 8000 SUNSET BLVD, West Hollywood. Curtis and Desmond along with Roman and Nyro and filmmaker Heather Winters will be at the screening for Q/A discussion.
