November 21, 2014 my husband Brandon and I officially adopted our son Kameron Hudson Tomassetti. Kameron has been our foster child for the past 8 months. We received him when he was 5 weeks old and fell in love with him immediately.
The foster care system has been extremely welcoming and completely loving to our family. When we finalized our adoption, 6 Department of Social Services employees, who did not have to be there, attended our adoption. I want to urge all families, especially gay families, to check out foster care. We will open our house up again to another Forster child, with hopeful adoption, in the spring. We are truly blessed with the addition to our family.
