Family Equality’s LA Impact gala on Saturday, October 14 at Citizen News includes performances from Jessica Betts, JORDY, Adam Kantor, and Esera Tuaolo.
Los Angeles, CA — Family Equality is thrilled to announce the lineup of performances for their October 14 fundraising gala, LA Impact, where they will honor entertainment industry icons Niecy Nash-Betts and Bruce Cohen. This year’s gala will take place at the historic venue, Citizen News, in the heart of Hollywood and connected to the acclaimed Mother Wolf restaurant.
A group of all-star talents is coming together for an evening of amazing performances, storytelling, and community. Jessica Betts, JORDY, Adam Kantor, and Esera Tuaolo will each perform and DJ Jon Milk will provide tunes throughout the evening.
About the performers
Jessica Betts (she/her) is a musician and actor who also happens to be married to Family Equality’s Visibility Award honoree, Niecy Nash-Betts.
Pop singer/songwriter, JORDY (he/him), has amassed more than 100 million streams of his music and earlier this year released his second full-length album, BOY.
Adam Kantor is an actor and singer best known for his Broadway roles including playing Mark in the closing cast of Rent. He won a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album for The Band’s Visit in 2019.
Esera Tuaolo is a former NFL player and contestant on season 13 of The Voice. He’s an LGBTQ+ advocate and executive chef who continues to share his outstanding musical talents.

Danny Pintauro, the actor best known for his role as a child star on the tv series Who’s the Boss and LA Impact co-chair, will host interviews with celebrities and others on the red carpet live on the Family Equality’s Instagram channel starting at 6 pm PT. Viewers can tune in from wherever they are and be part of the event.
About the Honorees
As part of the event, Family Equality will honor Bruce Cohen — Oscar and Tony-winning, Emmy-nominated producer of film, television, theater, and live events — and Niecy Nash-Betts — Emmy®, Critics Choice and NAACP Award-winning and Golden Globe®-nominated actress and producer. A VIP reception hosted by honorary co-chairs Heather Dubrow, Dan Bucatinsky, and friends and sponsored by Equality Vines. starts at 5:00 PM PT and the red carpet and cocktails start at 6:00 PM PT.
