Board Members Step into Leadership Roles

Strong nonprofit organizations are backed by strong boards who help guide the organization through sound and ethical decisions while providing oversight, insight, and foresight. The Family Equality board is comprised of engaged members focused on Family Equality’s purpose, mission, and vision.

Officially voted on and approved during their last meeting, two Family Equality board members step into new leadership roles while one steps back. Previously the board secretary, Scott Gatz joins now Alexis Kantor as co-chair. Gatz’s move opens the secretary position and Weston Charles-Gallo steps into that role.

Kirk Fordham is stepping down from his leadership role as co-chair and will remain on the board.

“A high-performing board can push nonprofits to the next level. I’m incredibly grateful for our dedicated and talented board,” said Stacey Stevenson, CEO. “Our work is personal for them and it shows. Their wide-range of experiences, backgrounds, and connections enrich the Family Equality team’s efforts and help us create a world where everyone can experience love, family, and freedom.”
