During National Adoption Month, we’ve shared some stories of challenge and triumph from LGBTQ families who have formed their families through adoption. We’ve also highlighted the staggering number of youth in the foster care system in the United States who are still waiting to find a forever home.
The most important message is this: it is in the best interests of children that every household in the US that is willing and able to provide a loving, stable, adoptive family is allowed to do so.
Every day, more LGBTQ adults start to explore adoption as one option in bringing children into their family. We hope that by sharing these stories, we inspire more families to take on that challenge, and to create more forever families for children who are in need.
