This Saturday March 11, Family Equality Council hosted our annual LA Impact Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and we’re pleased to report the night was a roaring success. This year, Impact Awards went to longtime supporters Jonathan Murray and Harvey Reese, the creators of the hit Amazon series Transparent, and Target. Guests were entertained by performances from Michael Arden and Cheyenne Jackson, and moved by personal stories from Jay Timmons, Rick Olson & Family, from Robbie Rogers, and by calls to CEO Stan Sloan and Board Chair Nancy Lyons.
We were delighted to welcome comedian Tig Notaro as host of this year’s Impact Awards, and we extend our thanks to Julie Bowen for presenting the award to Transparent Writer Our Lady J on behalf of Jill Soloway, to Kim Kardashian for presenting the award to Jonathan Murray and Harvey Reese, and to Ross Mathews for presenting the award to Target, accepted by Alexis Kantor, VP of Product Development.
