Second Parent Adoption Finalized in Georgia: The Edwards Family

On November 16, 2013 at 7:40am I read a pregnancy test that said positive. On that day I emotionally became a mother.

I watched as my wife’s body changed over those 41 weeks and 4 days and my love for my family grew with her. Then on August 6th at 1:06am I saw the most amazing thing, my wife giving birth to our son and on that day I physically became a mother.

On November 23, 2014 at 9:30am with the help of our amazing attorney and in front of a judge and a room filled with family and friends, I legally became my son’s mother. Words can’t express how it feels to have our family fully protected. The road was not easy but I always knew it was going to be worth it.
