Big plans for the midwest!

The Midwest Office is excited about our upcoming Programs for 2012.  Our biggest celebration is the 17th Annual Midwest Family Conference: All Families Matter. The Conference is the largest LGBT family gathering in the area and includes educational workshops, a community gathering, resource fair, a family dance and carnival.  As Family Equality Council celebrates our 30th anniversary to celebrate: commit: and connect, we will celebrate our families at every event from Conference to our Halloween Party.  We commit to making the lives of LGBT families more visible and inclusive in the Midwest; we will do this by providing monthly gatherings in our community so our families are visible and receive the recognition of who we are.  We will connect our families by providing quarterly Parent Cafes for parents to come together and discuss various topics including single parents, foster families, talking to your families about the marriage amendment and many more.

Additionally, we will offer a weekend couples retreat, a maybe baby class, a making babies class (a holistic approach) and a new prospective parents class.

We have many exciting events in 2012 – please Save the Date for each of them below and stay up to date on our Midwest Facebook page as well as our Family Equality Council website www.familyequality.org/midwest
