Family Equality’s 2011 Interns, Part 6

Introducing Michaela Schwartz, Family Equality’s 2011 New Media
Intern:

My name is Michaela Schwartz, and I am a rising junior at Mount
Holyoke College. At school, I’m self-designing a major in Cross
Cultural Sexuality, and am a huge social activist, especially when
it comes to LGBT issues. I am also a member of my school’s sexual
health education group and write part-time for a sexuality
education blog called MySexProfessor.com. I’m so excited to be
joining Family Equality Council this summer as the new
media/blogging intern! I hope to bring my own activism/media
insights to Family Equality Council and also to learn about the
queer non-profit world. After college, I plan to go on to get a
degree in social work and become a sex therapist, but I’d also love
to be a media figure in queer sexuality education. I look forward
to meeting lots of incredible social activists (LGBT and Allies
alike) while working with Family Equality Council.
