Yesterday, the Senate failed to repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell
(DADT), the federal law that not only prohibits LGBT service
members from serving openly in the US Armed Forces – but it’s
also the law that prevents the families of LGBT service members
from accessing all of the benefits and protections they are
otherwise entitled to. Today, Emily and Heron joined hundreds of
activists at the Capital Building in Washington, DC to ask Senate
to repeal DADT before the holiday recess. Call your Senator and ask them
to support for the stand-alone DADT repeal bill today.
