Tru Loved.

Over the weekend, guest blogger and lesbian mom Julie Phineas wrote
about the importance of showing our children inclusive media. It’s
important for our children to see families like theirs represented
in the shows they watch and the movies they attend.

, a new film by Stewart Wade, makes that task a bit
easier. The movie features queer parents and diverse themes.

Sixteen-year-old Tru is uprooted by her lesbian moms
from her comfortable gay-friendly home in San Francisco and moved
to a conservative, suburban community in Southern California.

Tru’s only friend is a closeted football player, and even that
friendship is jeopardized when she starts the school’s first
Gay-Straight Alliance.

Currently the release schedule is as follows:
October 31 – San Francisco – Landmark Lumiere
October 31 – Berkeley – Elmwood Theater
