Parent Power: Family Engagement in Election 08

Election Day is one week from today. In California, Arizona,
Florida, Arkansas and many other states and communities, our
families’ health and security are at stake.

The Family Equality Council has worked hard this election season to
engage our families in campaigns, the outcomes of which will
directly and significantly affect their lives. We recognize that
getting involved in campaigns and campaign work means different
things to different people, and that balancing family and politics
can pose great challenges. We want to ensure that families who are
involved or want to be involved have the resources to do so, and to
ensure that campaigns are family-friendly, but we need YOUR input
to do that well.

We’ve created a survey — Parent Power: Family Engagement in Election 08
— to assess how you and your family are involved (or not involved)
in campaign work this year. We also want to hear from you what you
need in order to feel engaged and prepared for the important work
of ensuring our families’ rights.

Please take a few minutes to fill out our survey now so that we may enhance
our efforts to ensure equality for LGBT families.
