Family Equality Council Launches Get Engaged: Vote No on 8

Every
Californian should have the choice to marry the person they
love.
It’s a personal and fundamental freedom guaranteed
by the California Constitution. But this November, Californians
will vote on Proposition 8, an initiative that seeks to take away
the fundamental freedom to marry from our families.

The
Family Equality
Council
is committed to helping our families maintain the
freedom to marry in California.
That’s why we are proud
to be a part of No
on 8, Equality for All
, the statewide campaign to preserve the
freedom to marry in California, and to launch Get Engaged: Vote No on
8
to provide family-friendly ways to participate in the No on
8, Equality for All campaign and help defeat this divisive
amendment.

Get
Engaged: Vote No on 8
reflects Family Equality
Council’s recognition that families will be greatly affected by
the passage of Prop. 8 and that families want and need to be
involved in efforts to defeat it.
With your family in
mind, we have created family-specific ways to help defeat Prop. 8
and maintain the freedom to marry in California through many
activities your family already engages in every day.

Join us in
getting engaged with No on 8, Equality for All to ensure the
freedom to marry so that all loving families can be recognized,
respected, protected and celebrated.
