Good Parents Protect Their Children.

Good parents actively work towards protecting their children.
Protecting our children means being an advocate for family
equality.

When we created our families we didn’t ask to be advocates, but
unfortunately, it comes with the territory. Unfair? Certainly.
Necessary? Absolutely.

But being an advocate doesn’t have to be a full time job. Planning
a march or a rally isn’t for all of us. Let’s face it, juggling
soccer schedules, after-school activities, homework, careers and a
personal life saps up almost all our time and energy. But luckily,
there are little things we can do each day that add up to big
change for our families.

Small, doable acts of advocacy help us protect our family in big
ways. It’s what good parents do.

Having said that, Family Equality Council is here to help and
support you. In fact, we’ve made things super easy. By now, you’ve
probably downloaded 52-Ways from our publications.
52-Ways contains weekly actions that you can take to
protect your family. They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away,
but an act of advocacy a week keeps the radical right at bay!
