They are after your kids! Companies hope to make money by targeting your little geek.

The New York Post
reports that competition for
young Web users is like, extreme.

Chief among the competition is the new kids-themed Internet browser
called Kidzui. It was
released this week.

“Billing itself as the Internet for kids, Kidzui will charge $9.95
per month or $99.95 per year and enable children aged 3 to 12 to
view a collection of 500,000 curated videos, websites and pictures
– all reviewed by 200 trained parents and teachers.”

Kidzui joins pay sites like Club Penguin and ShrekBrowser.com.

Meanwhile, free educational sites – including Noggin.com, PBSKids.org, and Starfall.com – exist.
