Celebrating Our Partnership with RENEWPR: Honoring the Past, Embracing the Present, and Dreaming Big for the Future

At Family Equality, we know that real change happens when passionate people and organizations come together. That’s why we were so honored when RENEWPR invited us to be part of their 10 year anniversary celebration on April 29, 2025 in Washington D.C.

RENEWPR + Family Equality = A Perfect Match

RENEWPR isn’t your average public relations firm. Led by Ben Finzel, RENEWPR is a proudly certified LGBT Business Enterprise and a longtime champion of equity, inclusion, and authentic storytelling. They specialize in energy, environment, and equity communications, and they bring those values into everything they do including their work with us.

Together, we teamed up on projects including the John Lewis Every Child Deserves a Family Act a few years ago, media training, and more. Their guidance and support was invaluable.

Celebrating a 10 Years and Highlighting Family Equality

RENEWPR celebrates 10 years of business and making a difference. To mark the event, they held an anniversary party with their clients, colleagues, and friends and invited Familiy Equality to be part of it too. Thanks to their generosity, we raised over $13,000 as part of their celebration

RENEWPR recently shared a beautiful recap of the evening on their blog (which you can read here). In their words, the night was about “honoring the past, acknowledging the present, and looking to the future” — and we couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

It was a joyful, thoughtful, and energizing evening, and it reminded us just how powerful we are when we come together in community.

Looking Forward, Together

As we continue fighting for the rights of LGBTQ+ families—through policy, storytelling, education, and connection, we’re so grateful to have RENEWPR as a partner. Their creativity, commitment, and heart make them an invaluable part of our extended Family Equality family.

Here’s to more milestones, more collaboration, and more moments that remind us why we do this work.

Thank you, Ben and Mark and the entire RENEWPR team, for standing with us and for helping us tell our stories with pride!
