Featured Activity: Kool-Aid Finger Paint

Kool-Aid Finger Paint

Age: 3-8

Objective: To teach children about the importance of the rainbow! This fun art activity, when done with other children of LGBTQ parents, helps them feel a strong community!

What you need:

Paper

2 cups flour
2 packs unsweetened Kool-Aid (Go for all colors of the rainbow!)
1/2 cup salt
3 cups boiling water and 3 tablespoons of oil

What to do:

1. Mix all ingredients together.

2. Allow children to pick out the colors of finger paint that they’d like. Encourage them to make rainbows or their families. Allow them to tell stories about their pictures. This is edible, so feel free to take a bite!
