Family Equality Council Honors Clay Aiken, Terry Boggis

Leading LGBT family organization celebrates successes at New York's Tavern on the Green

Notable guests: NYC Council Speaker Christine Quinn, vocalist Linda Eder, and
Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane as emcee

Night at the Tavern, Family Equality Council's annual New York City event at Tavern on the Green, will bring together +350 area guests to celebrate the work of the leading LGBT family rights organization and its 2009 honorees, platinum recording artist Clay Aiken and Director of Center Kids at the LGBT Center in New York , Terry Boggis. This year's event will feature a cocktail reception, full-course seated dinner, live entertainment, silent auction and opportunities for LGBT parents and guests to mingle and connect. New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn will make a special appearance. Vocalist Linda Eder will perform. Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane, author of To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar and Xanadu, will emcee the event. Nederlander Producing Company of America, Inc. is the presenting sponsor.
